Baby Resources

A compilation of the nitty gritty bits of the key things that helped me through my previous pregnancy and motherhood (arranged in no particular order). And here’s an article on a more comprehensive list of things to prepare for a new born.

Post-Natal

Haakaa Pump
$15.90
I survived exclusively expressing breastmilk on these pumps. I used one on each side, and they are truly #lifesavers. Single silicone pieces, easy to wash and sterilise. No tubes, no batteries, no extra parts.

Depend
$13.00
The most trusty post natal adult diapers that I’d recommend to be used while you’re in the hospital. Don’t risk staining your undergarments, just use and throw!

Donut Pillow
$4.40
An inflatable donut pillow really helped to alleviate the pain of sitting on a wound. Great that you can adjust the hardness of the pillow.

Seamfree Bra (Cotton On)
$30 for 2
Really soft and comfortable bra that can be used for nursing too, IMO. Much more comfortable than the usual nursing bras.

Post Natal Girdle
$36
Great fit, and quite comfortable with a good hold of the body.

Washable Breast Pads
$10
Comes with a pouch. Preferred these to the disposable ones.

Newborns

Drypers
$36.90/3 packs
Probably the cheapest diapers I’ve found. Waistband markers, great overnight hold, deep pocket.
No pee markers, slightly thick.

Chicco Pacifier
~$10
Soft orthodontic pacifier. Sturdy grip for baby’s grasp, shaped to fit the nose, single silicone piece. Comes in sterilisable case.

Pacifier Clips
$8.90 / 3 clips
If you’re gonna get a pacifier, you need to get the clip. Or just hate having to pick up and wash the pacifier x1000 everyday.

Instant Swaddle (Palmerhaus)
$18.50
Super comfy and snuggly sleep swaddle for newborns. Does not come with arm holes.

Swaddle Up
$16.25
Not as soft as Palmerhaus’ swaddle, but this one grows with baby as the arms can be stretched out.

Palmerhaus Sleepsuit
~$10
Really soft and comfortable pajamas for the little ones. The feet can be covered with the sewn on covers too.

Pampers Trial Pack
$11.95
50% diapers, what’s not to love.

Jeju Wet Wipes
$15.70/8000pcs
Really affordable and thick-enough wet wipes to clean their stinkies away. No fragrance or alcohol nasties.

Portable Bed
$39 (used to be $29)
Super helpful to have these soft bed to be placed wherever I needed to be, on the sofa, floor mat, master bed, etc.

Toddlers

NAN Stage 3
$73.90/3 tins
One of the cheapest sources for NAN Milk Powder. The price does vary, but definitely much cheaper than supermarkets.

Palm Grasp Spoon
$8.90
This was a really great way to start baby’s self feeding journey!

Inflatable Baby Chair
~$15.00
Built-in pump on the front of the chair. Easy to deflate and inflate, very portable and sturdy. Can be used for shower time too.

Baa Baa Sheepz Pillow
~$30.00
Pricier pillow, but SO WORTH IT. Once baby’s shoulders are wider than the head, it’s good to get a soft pillow for sleep support.

Baby Bed Guard
$28.00 – $48.90
These were the only ones that I’ve found that fits a single bed’s short side of 90cm. Otherwise, there are other nicer designs for Queen/King size.

Magnetic Drawing Board
~$6.40
Great quality, with multi-coloured magnetic background. Comes with two magnetic stamps.
