From dance, to poetry, spoken word, editorial, calligraphy, and digital design; life has thrown me into the beautiful mess of arts and creativity. But nothing gets messier and more beautiful than when we embrace it all in full awareness of His grace, power, and purpose living in us.
This life is not my own.
On 21.02.12, I had a vision of myself high-kneeling in a desert. I was held at gun point for my faith, and my 10-year-old daughter was standing a distance away from me, staring at me with tears at the brink of her eyes.
As I looked into the sandy horizon, I felt the Lord asked me three times, “will you die for Me?”. With every “Yes” that I struggled to give as I looked into the gracious and forgiving eyes of my girl, I felt my heart lighten in peace and hope for the one who held the trigger in his finger. Just as I thought I had passed the test, the Lord said, “Okay, I hear you. Now, will you live for Me?“.
It was on that very day that I knew that this life I live on Earth does not belong to me, it must be lived for Him. I am simply a mere steward of every good gift, a pilgrim on a journey, a daughter fully loved by her Father.
For from Him, and to Him, and for Him are all things.
“For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.” Philippians 1:21
